Nantucket Guide
WHERE TO STAY in ack
Cliff Lodge
The Cliff Lodge is a historic little bed and breakfast that was simply perfect for a quick trip. Located in the heart of Nantucket, it made it easier to scoot around town on foot. They also had the BEST home-cooked breakfast!
The Nantucket
Another place that caught my eye was The Nantucket Hotel & Resort, where we ate delicious lobster salads before touring the rest of the town.
THINGS TO DO & EAT
Galley Beach
You simply can’t travel to Nantucket without visiting Galley Beach-Presidents have dined here, novels have been written about them and stars have sipped libations on their beach...
Need I say more?
If you’re looking for a nice spot to sun bathe, sip on a cold drink, or to enjoy a light lunch on the beach this is the place for you!
Depending on where you stay, I’d highly recommend walking to this hotspot. The views leading up to the beach were simply stunning!
The Wauwinet
Be sure not to miss The Wauwinet, the island’s only Relais & Châteaux property. This was a slightly longer drive, about 9 miles from downtown but totally worth it!
We enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the front lawn while the sun set over the bay. They also offer outdoor dining on their patio, but the atmosphere on the lawn is truly surreal.
Bike Riding!
Exercise has never been a form of relaxation or go-to vacation activity for me, but when in Nantucket a bike ride is a must! There are dozens of bike shops that offer fairly affordable rental prices on the island. We rented ours from the Nantucket Bike Shop.
Falmouth
After our last night in Nantucket, we decided to stop by Cape Cod on our way to Boston. This tiny island did not disappoint! I’d definitely recommend planning a long weekend trip so that you can explore each town within the island. We spent our day in Falmouth, which is known for it’s stunning beaches, shopping, and lobster!
